Yesterday we snuck in to Red Line Land Cruisers to catch a glimpse of the in-production FJ-UTE 4 Door FJ-40 Land Cruiser.

What did we find? A full aluminum body sitting atop a freshly cleaned 80 Series Land Cruiser frame. Justin & the guys at Red Line are already test fitting seats and lights to finalize model 0001 of the FJU, which will be on display in the Radlfo booth at SEMA 2014.

While no one knows exactly how the finished truck will look, feel, and most importantly handle..we're very excited to see this project get started.

AutoBlog.com has posted a gallery of photos showing a 2016 Tacoma test 'mule' performing towing tests. This vehicle is most likely testing an updated powertrain, so from a design standpoint it looks like a current model Toyota Tacoma. This truck sports a 6speed Manual transmission, but AutoBlog reports a 6-speed Auto will be available when the truck ships in late 2016. While we're all still wondering what the new Taco will look like, it's great to see testing of an updated drivetrain.

Today Weekend & Day Passes for Overland Expo EAST went on sale. The first ever OX east of the Mississippi will happen October 3-5 at Taylor Ranch just outside Asheville, and promises to be another great event. If you've ever wanted to see what this overland stuff is all about, this is a great opportunity. For this event the Overland Expo team is adding a kids adventure area and a bushcraft skills area in addition to the 100+ vendors and very popular Camel Trophy Overland Skills area.

Weekend Passes provide access Friday-Sunday and are available for $55/person or $95/family. One day passes are available for Sunday only for $10/person or $15/family. Camping for the weekend is a separate fee of $35, which covers all 3 days.

Today Toyota released pricing for the Tacoma and 4Runner TRD Pro Models, which will be available at Toyota dealers this fall. We’ve been waiting to see what the additional functionality and cosmetic upgrades would cost, now we have our answers. Pricing for the TRD Pro Tundra model will be announced soon.
